POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Title I Family Engagement Facilitator serves as the district's lead for Title I family engagement initiatives, providing leadership, guidance, and support to school-based Family Engagement Facilitators. The Lead Facilitator works collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, families, and community organizations to strengthen family-school partnerships, remove barriers to learning, and increase student achievement. This position is responsible for Title I family engagement activities at two Title I Schools, mentoring part-time Family Engagement Facilitators, and ensuring compliance with all federal Title I, Part A family engagement requirements, including family engagement quarterly workshops for the Title I Preschool Program.

Family Engagement
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Title I Family Engagement Program aligned with district and school improvement goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate family engagement activities that promote student success in reading, mathematics, attendance, and social-emotional well-being.
- Organize workshops, parent academies, family literacy nights, math nights, and other educational events.
- Encourage and facilitate active parent participation in school decision-making, including Title I Annual Meetings and Parent Advisory Councils.
- Assist families in ways to support learning at home.
Communication and Outreach
- Build positive relationships with families through regular communication, phone calls, emails, newsletters, social media, and community outreach.
- Coordinate translation and interpretation services to ensure equitable access for multilingual families.
- Develop family engagement materials and resources that are culturally responsive and accessible.
Collaboration
- Work closely with principals, teachers, instructional coaches, and district staff to support family engagement initiatives.
- Partner with community-based organizations, local agencies, libraries, and nonprofit organizations to expand opportunities for families.
- Participate in school improvement planning as appropriate.
Title I Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all federal Title I, Part A family engagement requirements.
- Assist in the development and annual review of:
- District Parent and Family Engagement Policy
- School Parent and Family Engagement Policies
- School-Parent Compacts
- Maintain documentation of family engagement activities, attendance, expenditures, and required federal records.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing parent feedback surveys to evaluate program effectiveness and improve services.
Data Collection and Evaluation
- Monitor participation in family engagement activities.
- Use data to recommend improvements to family engagement programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Community Development, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience working with children and families may be considered.
Experience
- Experience working with diverse families and school communities.
- Experience planning educational or community engagement events.
- Knowledge of Title I programs or federal education grants preferred.
- Experience collaborating with community agencies and service providers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic populations.
- Knowledge of community resources and social service agencies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
- Experience with Title I family engagement programs.
- Experience conducting workshops or adult learning opportunities.

Terms of Employment This position is funded through Title I, Part A and is contingent upon continued grant funding and a positive annual performance evaluation.
